Mikulov and its surroundings are known for their natural beauty and cultural richness. Surrounded by the Pálava Protected Landscape Area and located near the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape, the region attracts many visitors every year.

A wealth of architectural gems and historical landmarks—such as the chateaus in Mikulov, Lednice, and Valtice, or the archaeological museum in Dolní Věstonice—are must-sees for nearly every traveler.

The town of Mikulov itself is a renowned heritage conservation area, featuring a Baroque chateau, the Dietrichstein tomb, several churches, urban architecture in Baroque and Renaissance styles, a Jewish synagogue with a cemetery, and the prominent Holy Hill with its chapel and bell tower.

There are many swimming options during hot summer months. The municipal swimming pool is just 800 meters from the guesthouse, and the Nové Mlýny reservoir is 12 kilometers away. Cyclists can enjoy well-marked cross-border bike trails. The region is also famous for its rich folk traditions, including the Pálava Wine Harvest Festival, local feasts, and folklore celebrations. It is a wine-growing area with numerous wine cellars whose charm few can resist.
